XO (Only If You Say Yes)- IDK what’s wrong with me but I don’t like the song at first🥺😭 (I really love it and I think it’s an awesome song now)
let me in (20 cube) – i didnt like it at first but it grew on me so fast i listen to it a lot
Let Me In, the first listen felt quite cringe because of the too many “I’ll be your boyfriend”s, though I liked the beat.
But then I read an analysis of the MV and how it was actually a critique on the idol industry, and it made sense to me especially when it was pointed out that the last repetition of the line was so soulless both in delivery and in the MV (they are eerily expressionless in the glass box).
I liked the symbolism so much, it made me relisten to the song with new ears, and now I absolutely love it! I’ll be chanting “I’ll be your boyfriend” anytime the song comes on now, without any hesitation 😂
Tamed-Dashed: used to dislike it but now it’s one of my favorites
Bite me: Used to love it but now it’s really annoying lowkey cause it’s too overplayed
These are mostly when I was in the phase of getting into the group
Blessed-Cursed: I initially didn’t care about this song at all, almost disliked it and never added it to my playlist. But now I really love it, I think it might be my favourite from that album (the choreo made me fall for the song ngl it’s so fun)
Chaconne and Sacrifice: It’s not like I didn’t like these or something, I though ‘Yes they are really good’ but that’s it. But idk something clicked one day and when I tell you I’m obsessed with these songs- (I listen to them almost everyday without fail I love them so much😭)
Blind: Another song that I was mostly neutral about/ didn’t care much (I just loved sweet venom and still monster more) but seeing them perform it live in one of those award shows last year+reading the lyrics catapulted my love for this song, it’s so good🤩
Fatal Trouble – I really disliked it at first but over time it grew on me and I ended up actually really liking it
Drunk-Dazed. I didn’t understand the hype but after hearing it live, I jumped so much and had fun and I added it to my playlist after. It’s a great EDM song I’m sorry I didn’t know ball 😂
Blessed-Cursed: During my first listen, I was more into their melodic sound, so it didn’t make an impression on me. But it grew on me. It’s such an excellent song, loved their performance of this as well!
Sacrifice: I happened to overlook this because of Bite Me, Fate, Chaconne and Bills. But I absolutely love it now.
Go Big or Go Home: I didn’t realise how great it was until I attended their concert. This one really shines in a concert setting.

Sweet Venom and GBOGH. Thought they were OK, but didn’t stand out to me until after I saw them at the concert. Now I love them so much!
Tamed-Dashed. I’m a debut Engene so I was waiting for their second album and this song just felt so different from Border Day One songs that initially I wasn’t sure about it.
But I think actually the performances are what eventually sold me on them having a fun summer type song.
