260210 [Weverse Live: Jake] hiii

Jake live from the company.

He finally had more time to turn on the live like he promised during promos when he could only do a short one to talk about Sleep Tight, Lee Mujin and the album.

He’s very excited to go to back to Australia even though it’s Melbourne (not Brisbane) he’s excited.

He wanted to go over The Sin : Vanish and he could tell some behind the scenes, answer questions of anyome had some.

The first track “The beginning” is an introduction track that he worked on producing. He worked on it with the movie “Interview with the devil” in mind that was a reference for the Desire Unleash concept. In the initial demo he even had parts of the movie, but those aren’t in the final version. He was first making it as a full track but then with the next album having a mystery show concept he thought it would work well as a narration too. He thinks it sets the mood well, he likes Hip-hop.

(Jay commented saying baby milk aussie puppy engenes should give him pats, Jake read then said he’ll pretend he didn’t see that.)

The next track is ‘No way back’ which people probably are already familiar with, it’s a very good song. He asked engenes to get another device and play the song themselves while watching the live (he doesn’t know how to do streaming together on weverse).

Next track is ‘The Fugitives’ it’s also a good one (he played a bit).
Next up was the Knife Music Video, he notices the most replayed part is where thr song starts and that people are probably skipping the intro to get to the song right away.

They had 3-4 candidates for the title his favourite was Knife from the start. Members had different preferences he thought Knife would be a cool one to perform.

Next song is Stealer, he thought it had a strong latin feel and felt quite different from things they’ve done before when he heard the demo, he really liked it and thought it was a very charming song from the beginning.

He was playing the album from the youtube release probably and stealer was replaced with the stealer chapter so when he was playing Sunghoon’s chorus was just instrumental and he got annoyed that Sunghoon’s part was not playing and said that’s the killing part. He said Sunghoon did a good job recording it and his voice fits the song.

Next it was the ad break (The voice), and ‘The witnesses’. He was considering saying something more but he didn’t, just said they are reall witnesses..?

Next up was ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ – when he first heard the demo he thought the song was crazy he really liked it a lot. He said after the live everyone go stream the album.

The next song was ‘Lost Island’ he said Jungwon did the intro verse well. He said again it’s a great song (he just listened and sang alpng for a bit first).

And next up is Sleep Tight! He let the whole song play and just enjoyed and sang along first. He said he sleeps early and a lot so his first song had to be about sleep.

The last track is ‘The Beyond’ it’s a great track that fits great as the final track, it kindof leaves things open for the next album.

He almost fell back on the chair as he leaned back to decide what to play next.

Jake moved to the topic of his Lee Mujin service guesting. It was a first time doing something like this so he was really nervous. It was actually filmed back in November a few days before his birthday. Normally there would be 4 songs, that’s how many he prepared but the PD asked him to sing a bit of WA-R-R and ‘Love yourself’ and he’s happy he did, fans liked it.

He said he really wanted to sing like a star it’s a very emotional song and engenes already heard how important stars are to him. He used to listen to ‘Young and Alive’ a lot when he was a trainee, his brother liked the song a lot. He got so into the song he grabbed the mic on the table and sang along with it too.

He read a comment asking to pass the mic, he held it up to the camera and pretended to listen and react and said that we can edit ourselves singing in the mic 😭

They have D Awards tomorrow, he asked to look forward to it. Someone asked for a spoiler but he replied that there’s less than a day left so we should just wait.

He thanked everyone watching and wished everyone to stay healthy and sleep tight.
