I've never felt this strongly about any celebrity before but this man…he has something other don't have and I can't exactly pin point it š
Maybe it's the fact that I'm closer to his age and I found his features and manners not fake? Not saying that other idols or celebrities are necessarily all fake, but with him (when hes not on stage or performing), it just feels like any other person you meet in your life.
Something about him makes him feel so real š like idk but I don't feel this way about other idols. It's like those idols are "idols", carved to perfection, who behave and look so flawlessly, that it makes them feel so out of reach. Makes them actually feel like idols.
I don't really get this feeling with heeseung. Which is very surprising cause he's a natural performer.
Also, from what we've seen as fans, he doesn't exaggerate anything in his life. He just lives life as it is. Constantly Improving and working for his dream he worked so hard to achieve. Lowkey an inspiration.
I hope he achieves more and more in his life and pleaseeeee lemme get to see him perform once in my life š

He’s certainly one of those idols with a natural charisma- like he has all the star qualities that makes it seems as if he is born to be on stage. And with an almost magnetic presence, like your eyes are just naturally drawn to him because he’s such a good performer. But otherwise, i think he’s just a chill guy who looks a bit ‘intimidating’ in a way
I would say that Heeseung is an idol with the least āidol personaā Iāve ever encountered. He doesnāt try to put tags on himself, doesnāt act like a try hard in variety but still stands out, doesnāt even brag or talk much about himself but everybody still admires him. Heeseung is just Heeseung, you literally canāt find anyone remotely similar to him in this industry.
I do think that his personality is often misunderstood because of how unbothered and quiet he is, but I guess itās not that big of a deal since thereās enough people that love and understand him. Learning about him is fun, heās interesting to observe. Recently I found that he has quite a stoic mindset. In an interview he was asked how he manages stress and he answered ā I donāt. Stress pushes me to keep moving forward so I think itās not all bad.ā like woah, thatās impressive, I canāt relate š
you’re so real for this. he has been my bias for three years and for the same amount of time i have been crushing on him. i think him being so charismatic but humble and shy at the same time makes him so intriguing and “curshable”. he is personable because he does seem like a fun guy who jus loves his job and is really good at it, but at the same time he is kind of mysterious since if you think about it he doesn’t really share much about him, only pieces of himself in interviews. but it’s also obvious that he doesn’t really play a part of his personality up, he just is this way.

He is one of those idols where what you see is what you get – in interviews, variety shows, he doesnāt seem to try hard to put on a persona. Constantly on the look out to improve himself and learn and be a better performer – he has that ace mentality.

I think he seems more real than other idols since outside of performances, he doesnāt force himself to be super energetic or perfect. You can see how heās a bit awkward and not always the smoothest talker, which is nice to see! I think that Enha is one of those groups thatās more laidback and doesnāt force themselves to have an āidol personaā. Itās why I like them a lot, and Heeseung is one of my biases š

i feel the exactly same as a fairly new stan (who loved watching heeseung fancams during db era but didnāt follow closely)!
for me watching his performances sort of set an expectation that heād more or less carry a similar energy with him (incredibly confident, outspoken etc), but the fact heās actually an introverted goofer whoās on the quieter side and doesnāt try to mask that makes him so grounded and real to me. him training for 3 years before i-land also just confirms that he worked hard and steadily to get to his calibre as an idol, that all of his charisma and presence on stage wasnāt innate talent or anything like that. heās such a gem ;-;
as someone who’s seen him irl i agree. he somehow manages to balance his idol aura with him being personable. he’s like your idol friend who has a strong aura but you know you can always talk to him when you need to
heeseungās mischaracterisation by the fandom is something iām very actively against, because i feel through contents time and time again, his idol stage persona is a channel for his natural performance charisma and passion to perform well on stage. while his in real life personality (thatās been shown to us as fans) have been much of a sweet little goofball, youngest in his family but oldest in the group, tired father energy, but also the most caring and passionate person.
i agree with you op, heās got this magnetism both on and off stage that doesnt let me take my eyes off of him. all the recent goofiness and cuteness (soobin + hyeriās show) make me love him so much more and everytime he sings i get transported to that image of him in iland just doing his absolute best supporting everyone. in his recent elle interview, he says how much he realised heās grown over the years, embracing being more of a perfectionist rather than only just going with the flow, not saying he doesnt cos imo hes a really chill guy, might be more so with his performance. but yeah, lee heeseung is so one of a kind, such an unique ace with a distinct voice and look, its near impossible to love this irl goofball pookie.

hee once said that he initially thought he was supposed to be perfect and stuff because that was how idols were generally seen but slowly he realized the most important thing about being an idol is to just be himself and live his life as is:)
