Jay came on to talk about his song and the album!

He mentioned before he had things planned and he couldn’t wait to reveal Helium, there is also still more to come, he has more goals for this year he’s not sure yet what he can achieve. He said first he wanted to thank everyone for showing so much love and support to his Always cover it was important to him and he wasn’t expecting such a big response, he saw it already got 10M views in such a short time, even if results are not everything it shows how his sincerity came through and fans really responded to it so he’s really happy and grateful.

Helium was fully based on his idea, he knew what he wanted the sound, the vibe and the message to be. He took part in producing, writing lyrics and played the guitar for most of the song as well they recorded it with band session not using chords because he likes the band sounds so he didn’t want the instruments to be done by computer sounds. It was brought to life with his precious music mate producer FRANTS who always works on songs with him. It’s not the official explanation in the album but to him, Helium is about being a balloon and your love is like helium, that love lifts him higher.

Jay said that he believes this is their most important promotion and album in their career, he’s happy his song was included on such an album. It has always been a long-time dream of his to compose songs and share it with his fans. He’s really happy to hear all his beloved team members’ voices on the song he has produced. He feels proud and happy that he produced a song for his precious team Enhypen that he has been together with until now and he wouldn’t have been this happy if it were part of a solo album/activity instead.

Jay said that he thinks a singer has to look perfect to be able to give full happiness and hope to others, but he also feels that if he looks perfect/with innate talent from the start that’s less inspiring. Because of this he’s happy that he debuted when he wasn’t perfect and could show that not everyone who achieves success and great results is a genius with innate talent but can be someone who gets there by effort through growth and challenges. He’s happy he could maybe give hope by showing that path. Even if people with innate talent who come after him get ahead he will still chase after/push forward even if he has to crawl on the ground, that’s how he’ll repay the position he got to. He wants to show that becoming a beloved idol is not something that can only be achieved through natural talent and genius, but rather that even imperfect people can achieve this kind of success through effort. He also said not to be afraid of competing with geniuses.

He had another schedule but he still read some comments and replied before leaving.

Someone asked if he distributed the parts for Helium he said he didn’t his producer partner helped with that.
